MAKING CREATIVE PRACTICES * SUSTAINING YOUNG ARTISTS * YOUTH-LED JOURNALISM

ART gatherings/workshops

Arts is part of everything we do. Art helps us express our multiple identities, thoughts, feelings, and experiences. All our programming is free for young folxs and is build around request from them.

Some past and ongoing examples: guitar, drumming and dancing, beatmaking, jewelry making, poetry and creative writing, crochet, painting.

the media center

A youth-led cultural journalism space that centers youth as knowledge producers in their community. A space that supports the leadership of young people in decision-making spaces through community organizing projects and campaigns and to socially and politically ignite change using artistic skills in podcasting, video making, photography, music production, and graphic design.

GROWING YOUR BUSINESS AS AN ARTIST

Things we discuss and resources we share: how people are building their online presence, best places to print copies of artwork, wholesale prices on materials, how to ship work, etc.

Once a year in the fall, we hold the Young Artists Market to showcase local art and culture work by young artists. We give each artist a stipend to gathering supplies for their vendor table. We do not charge a vending fee. We provides tables, chairs, food, and good vibes for free. Contact Re:Frame to attend "Marketing your Art" workshops and open studio time.
